The Great Teacher of mankind

ноември 7, 2016

The Teacher is one of the most important roles in any society as the teacher transfers the knowledge and culture from one generation to the next one thus making it possible for the enlightenment to be continued over time. Therefore any culture around the world should have a word, a name for this role. By comparing the names in various languages we may find a repeating pattern.

Let’s check the way the word teacher is written in various languages:

English:          Teacher

Sesotho:          Tichere

Hungarian:     Tanar

Chottish-Celtic: Teagaisg (means Teaching)

Greek:              dáskalos

Indonesian:    Guru

Malayan:          Guru

Sudanese:        Guru

Telugu:             Guruvu

Philippine:      Guro

Latin:                Magister

Sebuan?:         Magtutudlo

Spanish:          Maestro

Catalan:           Mestre

Kazakh:            Muğalim

Kirghiz:            Mugalim

Kurdish:           Mamoste

Lithuanian:     Mokytojas

Malagasy:        Mpampianatra

Somali:             Macallinka

Swahili:            Mwalimu

Tajik:                 Muallim

Uzbek:              Muallim

Hausa:              Malami

Shona:              Mudzidzisi

This relatively short list makes it clear that many nations prefer (or they think it is right to) start the word for teacher with M (including Ma- and Mu-), many other countries start the word with Gur and a lot of – with T.

I suggest that the repeating starting letter and even the starting syllable reveals a whole culture spread among various nations. Every one of these cultures has its own memories and archetype for the origin, the nature and the role of the teacher.

Thus, every one of these cultures, recognized by the starting letter or syllable for the word, should derive their own word by the same very ancient idea of the teacher. Therefore, I suggest, they share the same events in their past which have lead to the present idea of the teacher. Of course, this idea has become an archetype and is most probably not realized.

I have been studying the paintings of Magura cave, located in the Northwestern Bulgaria, for nine years so far trying to understand what has been written there, what information ancient people have tried to transfer to future generations and even to us. In this process I found many ideas and concepts that we widely use today which originate among the paintings of Magura cave.

The knowledge in the paintings is so advanced that it is hard to believe it has been produced by people of that time. A number of examples may be reviewed in the following publications:

The paintings of Magura cave state it very clear: all the knowledge and skills come from the Goddess-Mother. And everyone who wants to learn has to ask her to grant them this gift, the gift of knowledge and education.

A scene in Magura cave reaveals the three manifestations of the Goddess-Mother:

To make it more clear, here is the redraw of the entities:

What is interesting here is the manifestation on the left side:

First of all, all three manifestations are in lotus position of the bodies meaning that they are in meditation which is a sign of very well developed, concentrated and cultivated mind. Therefore we know the Goddess-Mother is very intelligent and profound.

Now we have to pay attention to her symbols as they express important features of her.

There is a flame in her right hand. The flame symbolizes enlightenment which has been replaced by the symbol of the torch in later times. So we know that this manifestation „spreads light“.

Then there is the symbol T on her head. In Magura, the symbol T means Divine Speech, the Logos, the construction of things, mind. I suppose that the words for god – Teos, Tao, Tau and Dao derive from this ancient symbol. But not all ancient cultures used to read the symbol T as [t]. Some pronounced it as [m] or [n].

By these two features we know that this is The Teacher – the greatest of all, the one from whom all knowledge and skills come.

She is the source of all the knowledge encoded in the paintings of Magura cave and she is the source of the paintings themselves. The role of people was to write her Speech down, to keep it and to spread it. This is what turned Magura cave into an ancient library and school.

Even in Sumer language the word UR means place, town. And the word MAG in Ancient Persian means an educated and skilled person. Thus we can read MAG-UR as the place of the educated, i.e. the school.

Another possible reading also comes from Sumer language. The name of the Goddess-Mother is MA hence the words for mother in many and many languages around the world. The word GUR means offspring. Thus MA-GUR is the offspring of the Goddess-Mother. Having in mind that her full name in Sumer language is UMMA (the Goddess of Mind) we can specify that MA-GUR is the offspring of mind, i.e. the enlightened mankind.

Why in Sumer language? Because Sumer appeared just after the flooding at Black sea which forced the civilization there to move rapidly and to find new places for settlement. The Black sea and Danube civilization was very, very advanced some 12 000 to 6 500 years ago – long, long before Sumer, Babylon and Egypt. Therefore local languages and knowledge from the Balkan Peninsula migrated and ware used to create new and very advanced civilizations which were at their best at the beginning and then slowly declined over time. This is the reason why we can find reasonable explanation of the name Magura only in Sumer language.

And here you can see the spread of Magura name around the world:

This means that the Speech of the Goddess-Mother was intentionally spread all over the world in order to educate and enlighten people everywhere. And the epicenter of this was her library – Magura cave. You can find the detailed research here:

An ancient culture from the Balkan peninsula wages civilizational marches and spreads Magura name at more than 2 000 places around the world

In this way, the Goddess-Mother used to be rocognized as The Teacher for many people around the world. As she has the symbol T on her head, many populations around the world created their words for teacher starting with T. Even the Egyptian god of knowledge was Thoth.

As her name is Ma, we can find many languages where the word for the teacher starts witm MA or with MU.

Then, the name of the cave where her Speech was stored is Magura and we can read it as:

  • Ma-Gur – the offspring of mind, the enlightened mankind;
  • Mag-Ur – the place of the educated, the school;
  • Mag-Urur – the educated soul;
  • Ma-Gura (Ma-Guru) – The Mother – Teacher.

A guru is a teacher in ancient oral traditions in India. In Romanian language (where most of all maguras are) the word guru means mouth. And any oral tradition of knowledge is transfered through speech, through the mouth. And the word guraliv means a person who likes to talk.In the Latin laguage there is the verb orare meaning to speak and word orator meaning a speaker. Then, in some dialect forms of Bulgarial language there is the verbe оратим [oratim] meaning to speak. It can also be written and sais as хоратим [horatim] and the letter g is often substituted for the letter h. So, the early original of these words must be guro, guru, gura. And the derivatives – gura, guratim, horatim, orator, orare. All of them originating from the ancient word guru – mouth, speech. Then this word spread on very, very large distances with the spread og the name Magura over the world but its ancient origin was on the Balkan Peninsula.

Thus we have many countries where the word fo the teacher starts with gur.

Another interesting branch of the ancient Magura tradition of knowledge is that the name of the Mother-Teacher is MA and her adepts are MAg. Mag is an ancient word for a skilled and educated person. Then, in Latin we find the word MAGister meaning a master, a teacher. We also find the word MAGistratus meaning a governor.

Mag is an educated person and magister and magistrat are also properly educated people. When one graduates the magister (master) degree they receive a special type of hat to certify the degree of education.

I think that the shape of this hat and the tradition with it originates from the Mother-Teacher of Magura:

and from the symbol T on her head which stands for knowledge, mind, education. When you receive a magister’s hat this is to represent the symbol T on your head.

With this I think that the oldest archetype of the Teacher is the Goddess-Mother of Magura.
